What the public record already tells you

Every ad platform is required to keep a public archive, and it is a positioning goldmine nobody reads. In our own market's runs, the largest tool vendor was running 5,000 to 6,000 active Google creatives while a boutique positioning agency ran 37 active Meta ads: fleet size, ad age and copy themes are all public, all free, and all more honest than any competitor's homepage. An ad that survives for months is a message its buyer keeps paying for.

The three measurements that define a competitive position

Who owns each search phrasing (page one, counted). Who the AI answers cite when your buyers ask (classified, with evidence). What each rival actually runs in the ad archives (counted and dated). Position yourself where all three show daylight, and write the deck afterward.

Method: volumes and difficulties from DataForSEO; ad-fleet counts from the Meta Ad Library and Google Ads Transparency Center, pulled 2026-08-27. Figure registry: /figures/competitive-positioning.figures.json.
