What we measured about it: searched 2,400 times a month, and the AI answer on it carries no worked number at all.
Run on your market, a read shows: your market sized from countable demand instead of a multiplication ritual, plus your real search demand under every phrasing, which AI answers in your market are open, partial or closed (with the evidence), what your competitors run in the public ad archives, and your break-even numbers computed from your own economics.

Yet the AI answer on the TAM query, measured, carries no worked example. measured
The honest method: demand you can count
Skip the analyst-report multiplication ritual. Start from a number you can verify: how often people actually search for the thing. Worked example from a real run: the US searches "high protein snacks" about 246,000 searches a month; a brand entering that category can price the attention, count the incumbents, and read the AI answers before spending anything. That is a floor, not a fantasy, and floors are what investors can check.
For the idea-stage founder
The same method works before the company exists. "Test a business idea" is searched 210 searches a month and "niche research" 110 searches a month: tiny queries, near-zero difficulty, and exactly the moment measured demand data is worth the most, because you have not spent anything yet.
One read: your demand, your winnable AI answers, every competitor's ads, and your site's catch rate. Price and scope on a short call, plainly.
